Driftwood

Date of Stay-15 Sep 2017
Es Grau is a beautiful little village that has been unspoilt by the tourist trade (thankfully) We visited this enchanting place without any preconceived ideas and where bowled over by its natural beauty. Es Grau has plenty to offer if you are looking for a quieter and more chilled out holiday with a beautiful beach(very shallow for kids to wade out quite far and still feel safe) or a water taxi will take you to a little island, only ten minutes, for a day out. The water is crystal clear and epitomises the Med as it should be.You can snorkel, fish, explore the surrounding area or just chill on the beaches with a good book and a bottle of local Vino (only €4!). There is one supermarket in Es Grau, which has everything you could ever need, inc fresh baked baguettes every morning. There is also a shop where you can hire canoes, a great way to explore the island. Plenty of choice in local restaurants and coffee shops where you can sit and while away the hours watching life go by. We stayed in “Driftwood” as a party of six adults and there was plenty of space for us all, it really was a great place to be. My only gripe…….I wanted to stay longer!!!!. Es Grau and lovely ‘Driftwood’ I’m coming back!. Thank you Darren and Aurelia for making my stay such a memorable one on this beautiful Island.
